Welcome to Our Website!
Dear Families,
Welcome to fifth grade G.A.T.E. I am very excited to meet and get to know all of my new fifth grade students and families. This year is sure to be filled with excitement as your child continues to develop lifelong social and academic skills.
As an educator, my goal is to guide and assist students to become independent and creative thinkers. I seek to foster in students a sense of pride in themselves, respect for others, the confidence to accept challenges, and a desire to attain their highest potential.
Close and frequent communication between parent, child, and teacher is essential. Each day, your child will be writing his/her homework on a monthly calendar. Please initial this calendar daily. Each Monday, a folder will be sent home with mail, graded work, and a weekly progress report. Sign this report and send the progress report back to school with your child the next day. Please use late work notices to help guide your child in completing late work and in learning positive work habits. Together we can instill a love for learning, creating, and thinking while helping your child reach the high academic standards set by the state. Please feel free to contact me at any time. Close communication will help ensure the best possible education for your precious child.
Sincerely,
Mrs. SanAhmadi
